8MW(8x1mw) Coal Mine Mehane(CMM) containerized type Generator Sets/power plant Design
This project is a coal mine methane(CMM) power generator sets in European countries.. According to client's requirement, the power plant shall deliver an electrical output of 8MW±100kW with 400V output voltage and 50Hz frequency.
Eight(8) 1000kWmodel 1000GJZ-PwWd-TEM2 containerized CMM generator sets are proposed in the power generation project. Each generator set has supporting systems like gas intake system, cooling circulation system, electrical system, and auxiliary production systems. The generated electricity will be fully utilized for coal mine operations to meet production demands. According to your information: Gas source is low-concentration coal mine methane (CMM) with 20-40% methane content (average about 30%). Eight(8) CMM containerized gas generator sets will be engineered with auxiliary systems specifically to accommodate the mine's gas characteristics and operational requirements. Power generation efficiency is >41%. Annual operational duration is ≥8,000 hours.
Requirement of Gas Compositions
The CMM generator sets require CMM gas quality as follows: At the gas supply pipeline (within 1m upstream of gas pressure regulating valve of the generator set):
Gas temperature: 10°C to 35°C
Gas pressure: 3 kPa to 10 kPa, with pressure fluctuation rate ≤1 kPa/min
Dust specifications:
Particle size ≤5 μm, Dust content ≤5 mg/Nm³
Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) content: ≤10 mg/Nm³
Gas humidity: ≤70% relative humidity
Condensate prevention: No condensate in the gas supply pipeline at minimum ambient temperature.
Methane (CH4) concentration:
Volume fraction ≥25% Methane fluctuation rate ≤2%/min Note: All specifications ensure safe and stable operation of the generator sets under low-concentration coal mine methane (CMM) conditions.
