Model DN8330/DN8340 diesel engine is direct injection, inline, turbocharged, intercooled, four stroke marine diesel engine, which adopts equilibrium crankshaft structure, has the characteristics of reliable structure, stable running, lower fuel consumption and simple operation.
The engine block is of gantry box structure, form an integrity with underslung crankshaft to reduce vibration.
The crankshaft is high quality steel alloy integral full grain die forging, designed with counterweight for each cylinder, manufactured with complete machining technics, dynamic equilibrium inspection is taken to avoid crank unbalancing.
The connecting rod is die forging H section three piece structure to increase reliability and easy dismantling. The small end is of step design to ensure adequate pressure bearing area.
The piston is of steel crown iron skirt assembly structure, improved steel crown design ensure better oscillating cooling efficiency and effectively reduce crown working temperature.
The cylinder liner cooling adopts more effective cylinder liner inner cooling, it cools cylinder head via cooling body to meet cooling requirement.
The cylinder head is of intake and exhaust same level structure to increase cylinder head section rigidity.
The camshaft of one cylinder unit assembly structure, each unit can be remove to reduce its taken length.
